Default STI steering wheel

Im fitting an aftermarket steering wheel and boss kit. I have a 2004 STI how do i go about removing the original steering wheel?

Help is much appreciated

Disconnect the battery first off so the airbag doesnt go off. Two torx bits behind the wheel loosen the airbag and it pulls out. Carefully disconnect the connector off the back of the airbag as they are brittle. Its then just one big bolt, I think its a 19mm. Even with the bolt off you will need to hammer at it to get it off. Keep the bolt on a bit so when the wheel comes off it doesnt hit you in the face. lol

As above, but:

Before starting work, ensure steering wheel is at top dead centre, wheels pointed forwards.

After disconnecting battery, allow 30 minutes before attempting to remove airbag.

Undo large nut inside wheel, leave on a few threads, try rocking wheel side to side while pulling.
