Can anybody help with a issue I have with scooby v6 when In 5th gear the full dash rattles badly when at 30mph I have to drop down to 4th gear to drive at 30mph this is my first scooby so Shurly this isent the norm ? Any help would be great

Is it the panel across the bottom of the windscreen? They are notorious for it.
Solution is to remove it, and place some fairly stiff foam under, then replace. You then have to do it again about four years later as the foam turns to dust......

Dreadful design.

If it's the whole dash, you have some sort of vibration problem. Get engine mounts and tyre/wheel balance checked first.

Am not sure where it is comming from but will defo look into what you have sayed I ken passenger front alloy has a slight buckle but wouldent think that would cause this to rattle as bad
Was driving home from work today and the car ran good with no rattles at 30mph in 5th gear 😩 confused.com

 

The buckle will make the whole car vibrate, and the steering badly.

I'd get it replaced or balanced out.

 

Yeah sound m8 am getting it done after Crimbo if I still have car got up this morning and started it and heard a noise from engine like there was something getting rattles about like when a heat sheild rattles that kind of noise went away time I got to work about 10min drive
Googled it and there's piston tap or knocking engine that the classics are bad for need to get it looked at 😡
