Just fitted mine today and have a few tips:
1) Remove 2 screws from either side of clock.
2) Remove 2 screws from under rubber gaitor
3) Remove stereo but leave cage attached. Unplug *** lighter and clock.
4) Glue the leather gaitor to the plastic bit that goes underneath the console. Make sure you match up the holes in the leather to the holes on the retainer.
5) Poke through additional holes as required to match the prongs on the underside of the console.
6) Gaitor and surrond will now fit snugly onto the underside of the console without having to semi-attach the chrome piece.
7) Reattach console screw on surround and bingo

Don't know anything about the mult-lock. The surround is made of metal about 6mm thick. So there's always the possibility of grinding it slightly to fit. Can the lock be removed and refitted over the top ?

hawk Go to http://www.nitosport.co.uk/ and email Jane/Nito, Mention the ScoobyNet groupbuy and they may still let you have a discount
greg555 - Really not sure then, sorry. Give Jane or Nito a ring, they may have come across these before

scooby_si - Those little covers just pop off. I would recommend a flat blade screwdriver with a cloth over it. Pop in the outside edge (theres a small opening) and lever outwards
Should pop out with a little force.

Hey there Mr Dunk getting mine fitted this weekend while i'm getting a quickshift installed & just had a couple of, probably stoopid, questions:
1) when u say "Poke through additional holes as required to match the prongs on the underside of the console." How do ya mean poke thru as i noticed the holes on the plastic underneath thing dont appear 2 match up identically with the holes in the metal so is it sumin 2 do with that?
2) I noticed on yer pix u appear 2 have a nitosport **** as well but out of interest how do u get the plastic bottom of the **** inside the leather bit?
Cheers

Scooby_si - I take it yours is the same model as mine ?
If so, 1) The holes in the gaitor are made to match where the screws poke through from the top and into the retaining plastic piece. You may need to make more holes so that the retainer fits under the console onto the plastic "sticky-out bits" () that used to hold the old rubber gaitor in place.
2) Brute force Its tight but you can push it through the hole in the top of the gaitor.
Dunno if that makes sense Hope it helps. Otherwise get in touch and we'll sort it

Cheers m8 makes perfect sense although i must confess i still cant see how the plastic bit of the **** ll fit thru the hole in the leather as it seems far 2 small I wasn't sure if there was a way 2 remove & refit the plastic bit but i guess not Oh well fingers x'd it'll miraculaously fit
Out of interest while i'm on stoopid questions (it's my fortee) is there any special or particular glue u used 2 fix the leather 2 the plastic bit or just any bog standard super glue?

I used just normal Super Glue, although anything that sticks leather will do
Just screw the **** on as tightly as possible and see where it ends up. If its out of line, wind it back a bit and screw in the grub-screw to hold it in place
You could always slide the plastic gearknob bit onto the gearstick before putting the gaitor over it ? But I forgot and it went through the hole okay with a bit of persuasion

Si - You need to put the gaitor in place underneath without attaching the chrome piece first. The gaitor should stay in place without the top piece so you can put in the 2 screws (See point 6).It will stay there with just the old rubber gaitor pins holding it. Then attach the chrome piece afterwards, being careful not to push the gaitor down too hard

Surely the leather wood still be in the way though woodn't it or do u just screw thru the hole the stick goes thru? Or am i totally lost again Actually can't recall wot it looked like now was there actually space at the top of the plastic bit then 2 do the screwing? Ho hum it's all fitted now & not obviously loose so may just leave it as it is..................
