Hi,

This is my first post here on the forum, I hope to hear from somebody.
I recently got a Subaru Impreza Sport AWD (1999) Wagon. It has no modifications, and I was hoping at aged 26, I could just switch my insurance policy over for the winter (reason for buying was to be safer with a four wheel drive during the icy weather).
Current insurance company refused to cover me, instead I was referred to a website called Autonet, and spent some time on the telephone being offered insurance quotes in the region of £800. That's almost as much as the vehicle cost in the first place. I'm keen to know whether the quote of £800 is to be expected and is fairly reasonable? Ideally I was looking for something below £500 (third party only).

Any advice appreciated.

Secondly, as I'm new here are there any sub-forums where I could get my newly purchased car valued? I.E. I want to know whether I've overspent, paid just right, or got myself a bargain!

£800 isn't too bad at 26, but with limited mileage and assuming you have experience on performance cars, some of the specialists on here may be able to help
