Default Are my mods covered?

I have approached a few specialist brokers to insure the STI, it isn't heavily modded, just a remap/exhaust/minor engine bits and pieces etc, but I want to make sure it is all declared.

My broker came back with a favourable quote from Groupama.

The "Key Facts" document doesn't mention mods - not even a section to enter details about mods.

This is the supporting policy booklet, which also doesn't mention mods:

https://www.groupama.co.uk/documents...car-policy.pdf

The broker is adamant that the mods are covered, but how do I know for sure that they are when none of the documentation mentions mods?

this is only a guess but if the car was stolen id say you probably need to prove you had them with pics or receipts

Make a list of them on the proposal form (which is a legal document) and you'll be covered.

If they are covered like-for-like is a different matter which your brokers will be able to confirm.

Thanks. I just want the car to be legit and covered in event of accident, less concerned about value / like-for-like replacements.

Just out of curiosity, are the mods listed on the policy / certificate?

Yes in most cases, if they are not listed then a mod form is issued to the customer and insurer.
