Insurance friendly mods
Obviously all mods need to be on policy but was wondering if some are less frowned apon than others what can you do before it starts to sting,
Brakes?springs?arb?
Brakes?springs?arb?
fitting SUBARU brakes ie brembo from a newer car was fine with aviva, had a quick chat with thier engineer bloke and explained it was like fitting mondeo st220 brakes on a 1.8lx no problem he said so long as the parts are fitted as std on a subaru
Performance enhancing changes can effect premium. Eg , supercharge an NA car and it's likely the price of your insurance will go up, add a set of uprated brakes and the price may not go up.
Will very between insurers, some insurers (in my opinion the insurers who do not have a clue) go by BHP estimates.. a sensible insurer goes by the actual modification.
What ever happens, if the car is modified, most likely you'll be better off with a modification friendly specialist insurer.
