Insurance Scare
A familiar story that is echoed throughout this forum, but I thought that I would just chip in my own experience.
I have been with Adrian Flux for over 10 years. I've had modded VWs, a V8 powered monster Hilux, any number of 4x4s, a 300zx Twin Turbo and an 03 WRX saloon, not to mention my current 52 WRX Wagon.
I phoned them up to find out what the effect that having my recently rebuilt engine remapped, would be. It'll probably end up about 270bhp, so nothing extraordinary.
Flux promptly quoted me £3500 fully comp! When asked how this figure was arrived at, I was told that the Impreza was a 'limited' market, and that they didn't specialize in them!
Now forgive me, but Flux advertise themselves as 'Modified Car Specialists' and have certainly been insuring my modded cars for a long time.
So, I type in 'Impreza Insurance Specialist' into Google, and who should appear in the 'sticky' advertising boxes near the top? Yes! Adrian Flux, renowned Subaru Impreza Specialist Insurer!
Has anyone got an inside line on what has gone wrong with this once great company?

Checked my emails; Flux have issued me with cancellation of my policy, in effect from 13th...
Apparently, intent to modify your car makes you an unacceptably high insurance risk?
Disgusted with this treatment after over a decade of being a loyal customer!

Im sorry to say that you missed out on this one; left you a message, but I guess youre clearing your desk before going on holiday? Lol
Ended up with A Plan, as they managed to quote less for a modded Impreza, than Flux had charged me for a standard one.
