Thumbs down Insurance going up?

Hi, thought I'd post up to see how other people are finding it insuring at the moment. My quotes keep going up year on year! 2 years ago I paid £550 fully comp, all mods declared. Last year this went up to £620, this year they want £718

Of course I have added a few more mods which are declared, but the power has remained the same.

I am 32 (nearly 33) have 9+ years ncb, no convictions, speeding offences or claims. Car is garaged and mileage given is 5K, I think last year I did around 3K.

I know last year there was a big thing in the news about uninsured drivers pushing up the price of insurance, but is that the same this year or are insurance companies just cashing in?

PS - not had a quote from Moley yet, am hoping he can help!

Moley to the rescue, same price as last year, no admin fee for new mods, no messing around with haggling, top job, very happy with that

The impreza stayed roughly the same with more mods (Thanks Moley!) But we had a renewal quote through for our 1.0 10 year old swift that jumped from £300 to £1000 with an extra years ncb! AA wern`t interested in sorting a deal, ended up with Chaucer direct for roughly £300 again.

wierd isn't it, an extra years motoring, no convictions, claims or speeding fines and rather than try and keep a customer by offering a good price they try to fleece us and end up losing money and customers!!

Got my renewal of £777, had to change address and mileage from 3k to 5k and quote went up to £810.

Spoke to A-plan who gave me a quote of £728, rang back to see if i could see what the quote would be with 3k mileage as it doesn't get used that much, after a few mins on hold got a quote of £688 with the mileage kept at 5k

Rang back my current insurer who will now do £685, so that's a £125 saving on what they originaly quoted and what they said was there best deal.

Trying to get through to gary at keith michaels, but after 10+ calls and a messages today i'm thinking i won't be able to, but fingers crossed i get through to see if they are as good as everyone keeps saying.

Mine has decreased slightly over the passed 3 years by about £30 a year. But its stayed steady this year as I am declaring more mods and more power.
