Default Insurance sky high

Hi to all

So iv owned my scooby for 5years now and to begin with my insurance did come down
Although over the last 2 years it has come back up again In price £1050
Seems to be my best with elephant

I'm 26 and my parter is 22 surprisingly having her as a name driver reduces the price......
I have 9years no claims and no convictions also the car is listed as standard

Does anyone know how/where I might be able to get more reasonable insurance???

Try Greenlight - just taken a policy with them

With declaring recent mods was still way cheaper than my old policy (without mods)

Seeing as you've modified your car and not told your insurers - thereby invalidating your policy - you might as well just not bother buying insurance full stop. Would save you all that money

Sky insurance and greenlight look at the sticky threads at the top of the insurance section and you'll find their contact details . They are specialist brokers and will get you better prices than non specialists.

Many thanks for suggesting Greenlight.

Whilst we do have an acceptance criteria that does apply to high performance models, involving a driving experience requirement we are usually competitive and do offer relevant cover features (inc. like for like replacement of individual modified parts, or trackday cover).

Kind regards

Tony

i think your gonna be a bit stuck.

a specialist will take more into acount with yoru history of driving, know more about the car etc but will take a very dim view on having a 22yr old on your insurance.

try a specialist and try taking your partner off

Feel free to give us a try but we would not entertain a 22 year old on the policy.

Almost 3 times what I was quoted by the AA for modified car insurance.
