Looking for Insurance for my Type R im 55 clean licence etc, also looking to add my son to the policy whos 23, Whos the best to try?

 

try admiral, although having your son will be dear.
i'd get the young lad a something easy on insurance as not many insurers will touch under 30 on a subaru import never mind under 25.

Sounds like it is his car .. in that i would advise him to wait til he is 25 or over and get it then.. as i am doing!

 

You can give us a try if you like but a lot of insurers (ourselves included) shy away from policies held in a parents name with a young driver named on the policy. If you son has his own performance car we could try and help.

Ok, you realise the insurance rate will be calculated on your son rather than yourself? Eg - a 55 year old male with good NCB could insure a car for £500, with their 23 year old son the price is going to be more like £900 (guesstimates).

 

I understand the policy wont be cheap but if i could have a quote from you that be great.
