Default Groupama not taking on insurance??

just had my renewal quote from A-plan and was told groupama are not inviting anymore customers.... was then told my insurance will now be £575 and £450 excess which doesnt include excess protection, last year it was £400 and £300 excess all in!!! just did a search and found LV would do it for £380 and £300 which included legal/bonus protect etc. has anyone else found this. just surprises me that a "subaru specialist" can,t do better.

I may depend on certain brokers.

I know that Groupama are still taking on customers for us, but the criteria has been changed ALOT.

From memory they now only do 35+, and cars valued £5k+, aswell as fitting other criteria (postcodes etc...)

This might be different for other brokers though, as we often have different schemes.

We have had some scheme changes, but, we have replaced the gap with other schemes. If you can call us here, we can update the details and work out what will be best for the next 12 months.

Regards

Chris

About 10 yrs ago when i had my rs turbo, i can't remember who i was insured with then but i got a renewal price threw the post and was happy with the price, so 2 days before the renewal started i phoned them to give them the green light to start the new policy and they told me they could'nt continue insuring me nothing had changed from the previous year

so i franticly phoned around to get a decent quote and peformance direct came up trumps, i explained to the guy what had happened and he said that some insurance companys have a limit on how many people they can take on!!!

so after all this wafflewas just wondering if this is true

I have heard of it a few years ago, but never experienced it.

I think it was more about the amount of money they could write, rather than the amount of people
