Default That time of year for renewal

I been looking around at various insurances, with my mods declared its quite high.

Ive never had an accident that was my fault and quotes for the car without mods are fairly resonable (about 100 quid more than last year's insurance) and is several hundred pounds cheaper than modded insurance.

If I were to insure (full comp) a modded car, without declaring the mods, and I have an accident that was my fault:

Will my insurance still pay for the damage to the other car, I dont care about my own car - ive never had an accident thats my fault and im quite confident I wont and also i only want to be road legal and have the other car covered <if> I were to have an accident.

If another car hit my car and its THEIR fault, does it matter if I have my insurance non-modded - their insurance is still liable to pay for full cost of my car (modifications wont make a difference as far as I know, you just get back the current market value of a non-modded vehicle?)

If im a crap enough driver that its my fault then I dont deserve to be driving a performance vehicle (and ive been driving performance vehicles for about 7 years) but insurance is getting crazy and I get NOTHING back out of it even though I have never claimed (20 years of no claims) - thats a brand new STI saloon paid out with no obvious benefits to me as a driver.

You're questions are backward, insure your modified car as a standard car and the insurance isn't worth the paper it is written on. Run someone over and get hit with a large PI claim ,you would regret that decison.

If you cannot insure the car correctly, you shouldn't be driving it.

What companies are you trying and what prices are you being quoted?

Why not speak to a specialist company and get it insured properly?

Keith Michaels, A Plan, Sky etc are all mod friendly.
