Default Crap Prices?

I keep getting terrible insurence quotes for my 03 sti type uk.
I tried keith michaels as they are highly reccomended on here and they quoted me £1150 which i think is crap.
I am 23 with 7 years no claims (10month bonus accelerator schemes) and have had the car 6 months now.

Is that the insurence i should be expecting to pay? as i was expecting around the £800 mark.

car is currently un-insured and hasn't been insured for a full year yet. I changed the policy 6 months in and payed like a top up.
It would have been the equivilant of about 1100 for the year, that was with admiral.

Did you speak with Gary Moulson (Moley WRX) directly? Or did you just go through Keith Michaels? As I made this mistake in the past and didn't get the best quote. Or you could try A-Plan, but not a lot of companies will give a good quote on any driver aged under 25 years of age. That quote doesn't sound bad. How did you get 7 years no claims @ 23 years of age? That would mean you were driving at age 16

10month bonus accelerator scheme with admiral insurence, so 10months equivilant to 1 year, and i have had that since i started driving.

I think I will try gary direct as his direct phone number is on their website, worth a shot.

I'm with Admiral on the Daihatsu YRV Turbo I own. Now off the 10 month thing. Will be looking to insure that one with Gary as well at renewal time
