Blimey bit of a hike!
When we were looking at insuring the MX5 I did a lot of online quotes and they were coming out at £800+ We're only paying just over that for the scoob! When I rang around the quotes started to make more sense and eventually we settled on a policy with Schofields for £425 HALF THE PRICE
It definately pays to phone So Nick, maybe that STI isn't just a dream after all.....

Tescos quoted me £1300 on my UK STi. A-Plan got me a quote from Axa for only £690, (less excess too). Tescos may be cheap for some, but for me they were a joke....

It looks like the Prodrive style is gonna cost me 900 quid more to insure over the std type UK, my best quote was from a company that will insure me for the std type UK but not the Prodrive style!!!!!!!
next best quote is 900 quid more

Blimey Andy. All the insurers I rang (A-Plan, Greenlight, Tescos, Direct Line etc) said it made no difference due to the fact that the Prodrive differences are just cosmetic (no performance gain = no insurance difference). I'd change your insurer if I were you....

Personally I think that the insurer (not the broker) is too damn lazy, and these are by no means the only ones, to put the fecking thing onto their computer system, therefore will not insure it.
In what other situation would some company refuse 4 figure sums for doing so little!!!!!!!
The Car is an official UK car its been on sale for 2 months and they still know nothing about it
Andy
RUM* if you are out there any advise would be greatly appreciated!!
