Greenlight won't insure imports.

Just called them for renewal quote to be told they won't insure imports any more. Hope this isn't the start of a general trend.
Less competition=Higher premiums.
D'oh!

I'm currently insured with Greenlight on MY 95 WRX and the policy is due for renewal in 3 weeks, I've not received anything yet from them in the way of a renewal quote.
I phoned them up and was told that I'd be receiving my quote through in the next day or so, I hope they aren't gonna say go elsewhere at this stage. I'll have to start the old bl00dy hike around the insurance companies again, most are wanting you to have Trackers, Cat 1 alarms..
Do you think I'd get a reduction if I told them it was garaged over night in Camp X-Ray, Guantnamo Bay

You might be alright if its a renewal I guess. I had some problems with my lightly modified 93WRX. Basically, if it hasnt got a tracker, only elephant would quote for new business, and that was after ringing all the other companies mentioned in this forum. In the end my original company Bell Direct sorted me out for 895 GBP, me 32 y o, clean lic, full NCB, low risk area, all mods declared. Ouch.
