Default Directline Insurance

£488 fully comp for me and the mrs both 35 yrs old, protected no claims £150 excess.

The car has a tracker kept in the street, would you say this was a good price? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I just took out a policy with Directline after having enough of Tesco half arsed help and cover.

I got a 99 impreza. Paying £59.49 a month with 0 excess, legal protection, protected no claims and gauranteed car hire.

Much better deal than Tesco, am paying £12 a month more now but didnt have the protected no claims before or legal cover or car hire, plus my excess was £550 instead of 0 now.

Nice one, I'm sticking with directline, they seem good enough for me, got my house insurance and life insurance with them so why not do the car with them. I was with Tesco and got fed up with their attitude, they wouldnt insure my car against theft or attempted theft until they received a copy of my Tracker details, it was a very hairy 48hrs I can tell you.

i had that trouble, they sent me a final warning letter even though they hadnt asked for tracker details in first place, i assumed i waited until they asked. then when i did send them 6 months later i changed address and on bottom it said they still hadnt received details of tracker device and that i wasnt covered for theft or attempted theft - nice one tesco, stick to selling spuds!

Sounds like a good quote to me. Mines up for renewal next month so i've had a few quotes back on a 2003 STi PPP, 35 years old, 17 years no claims!!!! Car stored on the drive with 8000 miles per annum. I've not managed to get a quote under £750 so far.

Me thinks Moley will be getting a call soon
