Default Insurance Questions

My renewal is coming up - Thinking of adding my partner to my poilicy as it reduces the premium by £50.

Few problems though.

1) She had an SP30 years ago - The Insurance company want you to declare everything less than 5 years old - The points have been removed, but we can't remember if it was more than 5 years or not...

Is there a way we can find out???

2) She hasn't updated her license to a photo license or changed the address

The SP30 thing will definitely be an issue but what about the address - Would that give the insurance company a get out clause??

Beginning to think it's not worth the hassle for £50....

When did the points get removed, they have to stay on licence for 4 years (count for 3) so if within last year it needs to be declared.

Surely if the licence hasn't been renewed then the date of the points is still on there She would have to pay for a new clean licence, but if changing the address the licence is free so the points are removed at no charge. (Was the case 4 years ago anyhow.)

Not to sure, but isn't having a driving license at the wrong address an offence itself ??

Timing of the SP30 - just declare it as just in the 5 years ... will make absolutely NO DIFFERRENCE anyway!

Licence address not correct?? This isn't an issue for the Insurance Company! They couldn't give a monkies tit!

£50 is ALWAYS worth the hassle

Pete
