1) Good luck getting 3rd party on other cars at 20
2) Yes, what you are trying to do is illegal
3) To be honest you really are looking at the wrong sort of car

20?

You'll have to buy the Micra and earn your NCD on that, then at 25 you can Insure your Impreza ................ I know its a quarter of a lifetime to you - but, believe me its only 5 years when you get to my age!

Be very very careful. It is a very common misconception that fully comp allows you to drive other cars. As far as I am aware there are no companies which offer this to under 25s regardless of policy. Also, almost all my policies have been 3rd party and have given me driving other cars cover, so don't go fully comp just to get that cover

Also keep in mind if you did manage to get Driving other cars and go ahead with your plan, if you crashed your Impreza, it would not be covered for damage. You could of course try to claim under your dad's policy but an insurer would quickly discover what was happening and report it as insurance fraud.

You will find it harder to get insurance with insurance fraud on your record. Wait a few years (as I myself have to) and you will make a substantial saving.

Is it impossible to get insured on an impreza type r before 25?
I'm 20 and have had a few quotes for next year at about £2200 third party for a '98 wrx sti (with 2 years no claims) which is not bad considering.
Who is the youngest type r/p1/sti owner on here and are they super rich?
