Well I got a quote from A Plan for £700 when the car was totally standard. I'm 26, no no claims discount on this car (5 years on another with a policy taken out with the same company, which was taken out at the same time-mr2 turbo) Car is parked in my drive with cat 1 alarm. Clean licence and a claim I'm disputing

I enquired about modding the car and told was told an exhaust would put the car up about 10%. I mentioned about "getting the car remapped to run correctly on uk fuel as imports don't like our lower ron fuel" ;-) I also told them about the following mods:

FMIC
Induction Kit
Full Exhaust
Power FC
4 Pot Brakes
StiV Spoiler
New Style Front End (Bumper, lights, grille, bonnet)
17" Alloys

I was told it would put the insurance up to £820 fully comp.

Not bad I thought considering the exhaust alone was going to put it up £70.

Anyway I take it you got a new scooby then ? Did you finally get rid of the GTiR ?

Yeah - The GTiR went - no comparison to a Scoobie IMO so I had to get myself another one. Got a MY98 a few months ago and I'm off to register it with the DVLA tomorrow after getting the SVA sorted last week.

So did you get all the mods you wanted done?
That's a cracking quote with A-Plan. I think my postcode might have something to do with the inflated premiums I get.
