Blimey my insurance is down this year!

I think I must be getting old at 29!
I have an sti5
Lots of mods to it (including Turbo, ecu, suspension, brakes.......and my premium will not increase if I add a Front mounted intercooler or bigger alloys!)
Plus several bans within the last 4 years!
8 years no claims bonus and never had an accident - my insurance went down from £1354 to £1233 (not restricted mileage either!)
This was with A Plan (using Axa) - good job I was already insured with them, as they wont accept any new business with cars with any engine conversions (inc. uprated turbo's)
I must say I was a tad miffed that the quote would have been £122 lower if I had not put on AP 4 pots! - go figure!
Still happy.
Other companies could not quote, and although Barclays would have been about £10 cheaper and only have an excess of £100 - I would no doubt suffer come renewal in the following year, if I could not go back to Axa! - so I think I'm sticking with A plan - even though the excess is £500
Do you think I should - or should I hop over to Barclays?

Given that situation, I would stay with the current lot... if you haven't had an accident or claim in 8 years the XS is _hopefully_ not going to make that much difference... and the current lot are ok with all your "refinements".
