Cover for trip abroad

I'm planning a trip to Germany at the end of June. My insurers will not go to more than the minimum legal cover required, ie third party only 
Is there anywhere I can get short term insurance for a trip? I won't risk driving a 1 year old car with third party only insurance. Help!
