Guys need you help and advice on insurance.
I am 25, live in Northern Ireland and drive a Std RB5. I am having difficulty getting an insurance quote.
I had an accident in 99 £4k paid out no 3rd party involved and have 3 points for speeding from 99.


I have a couple of quotes so far at £6k!!!!!
I paid £5k last year and swore I would not pay that again, simply can't afford it!!!!!
How could a premium go up when I turned 25 and now have 1yrs NCB again?

Any body any suggestions of insurance companies that quote for NI and a 25yr old?

If the worst comes to the worst anybody recommend a car that has some grin factor but not the ridiculous insurance?!!

Endsleigh (can't spell that) insure me and the wifey for 1800 quid. 3 years NCB. Wifey is 25. Apparently 30 is now the watershed.....

 

Just got my renewal in from Quinn Direct for my MY99 -
£780 fully comp., fully protected, with the wifey on, and business use. The only mods done to the car are 17" Gold Supertourismo's and a ScoobySport back box.

I am currently insured with Endsleigh ( it will be a few days B4 they can get me a renewal quote) and am waiting on a proposal form from Quinn direct in the post.
That said I have not have to claim from Endleigh at all but any time I need to contact them (courtesy cars, enquires on mods etc) they have been VERY helpful a top company that I would like to stay with but given the situation £££££ is probably the factor that decides!!

 

Try Tescos. I've got 6pts, wife has 3pts and a claim and just got mine for £770 (Standard model). This was £80 less than Direct Line and way cheaper than anyone else I tried. Most wanted £1,500 or wouldn't insure. Don't know if they cover NI. No Tracker required either - might be different for RB5.

Andy speak to Nigel at MCM Group on 08700 118711 - I got a massive reduction in my insurance this year (1994 WRX) and I have had 1 x accident + 1 x theft + 1 x speeding ban.

Fully comp for a 33 year old is £1,583 (I had been quoted £4,500 at the end of 2000).
