Question

I am (admittedly) a youngster, but I still need a bit of help. I'm 21 and have 2 years company car use. I've recently opted out of my company car scheme and I'm looking for a sub-£1,000 quote on my 99' UK Impreza Turbo.
Any help ,whether from elder statesmen or other like-minded young scamps would be seriously appreciated.
Cheers,

Benard,

I may be wrong but if you're looking for sub 1k I think you're going to be disappointed

I've got a 1994 WRX. I'm 28 with 8 year PNCB. Just me driving. No accidents, claims, convictions, blah...

The best I could get was £705 from Adrian Flux. Also I think its the sort of car where most insurers won't touch you unless your over 25?

But then again I could just be talkin' cr*p!

Good luck!

Justin.

Sub £1000 at 21 - you've got to be joking. Unless you ask for a £900 excess

AXA Direct take into consideration your company car driving. I'm paying just under a grand with 5 years NCD and I'm 27. 3 years company car use gave me 2 years NCD from AXA.

They might be worth a try although they don't like any mods or imports.

When I first got my Turbo insurance was £750 for me (then aged 22) on a 98MY 5dr, Cat 1 alarm, 2y NCB, off public road parking, Aberdeen postcode, 17000miles per annum.
It's now £700, but, no doubt, that's gonna go up...

That's all through the (in)famous Admiral. Quotes ranged from £700 (with a Tracker) through to £2500 (local broker).

You might manage to get it below a grand - a mate with 9points, age 21 on a group 20 Audi ur-quattro managed £950 through Kwikfit Insurance.

But good luck!

Well I'm 24, MY96 UK Turbo, S/S Exhaust.
No claims, convictions or anything, 6 NCD.

£690 - cheapest I could find was either Admiral or Barclays. No where else came close.

Well this all bodes well for my renewal in July!! I'm 28, no accidents etc etc, owned the car 2 years, my95 uk with full s/s exhaust. Mine went down last year from £655 to £401 f/c with protected no claims (they even knocked off £40 if I put my dad on the policy!). Looks like I'm in for a shock then!! That was with Bell direct.
