STI PPP Insurance
Hi Everyone.
I'm a newbie to this forum, and have been reading all your posts regarding insurance with interest.
Hopefully at the end of this week i'll be picking up my brand new STI Type Uk PPP from my dealer. Can't wait.
For the past 2 years I've been driving a Focus RS, with anual insurance of about £600. Now I've moved to the dark side, I've been shocked by the quotes I've been getting for my STI. £1700 was about the norm. Subaru insure was £1500. I'm 31 years old (now classed as not a boy racer) with full no claims and could get covered for a WR1 for less than a grand. Why so much for an STI PPP?
My dealer recommended APlan (Glad he did), and they have come up with £1219. The most I've ever paid for insurance.
Like other members on here I'm a little annoyed that an STI PPP is classed as a aftermarket upgrade even though it's carried out by the dealer. This now puts me in the catergory of `Wide boy racer`, hence the stupid insurance quotes.
Anyway have just read another post that mention's L&V insurance. Who are they? and has anyone got there number. If anyone could help before Friday I would be much appreciative.
Look forward to posting on the forum.

Cheers Jiggerypokery,
Jeremy at Keith Michaels came up trumps. Has given me the cheapest quote yet.
I did get a quote from L&V. They would cover me but their best price was slightly too much
