Suspension mods - Direct Line increase
Recently fitted
Whiteline Rear ARB + Frint ARB
Uprated drop links
Whiteline ALK
Front Strut brace
Eibachs all round
Koni adjust damper inserts:
Was paying £40/month for my UK 96 Turbo - now gone to £56/month
I came clean cos' it will snow here tomorrow, my conscience got the better of me.
Is this a rip off, prior to this the supension was after 8 years rather soggy and in my opinion a higher risk???
Have 7 months before renewal IS THERE a more competitive insurance company next time???
Next week having full decat and ecu remap what will that increase by!!!!!

Hi Mark , am with Direct Line myself.
Only have a 2.0 sport myself but oddly when I fitted a rear anti-roll bar assembly from a Turbo they didn't hike the premium.
Yet when I spoke about fitting a 205/55 15" tyre rather than a 195/60 15" they wanted £120 a year more. Springs I think I recall they wanted £70.
Trouble is at 41 they only want £150 more to insure a Turbo rather than a Sport. So any mods I do will ether have to be ones that dont hike the premium.
Looking at your list some stuff is obviosly more noticable than other
Paint stuff like the "Whiteline Rear ARB + Front ARB" and "Uprated drop links"
OE black and they would be unlikely to notice.
Strut braces and adjustable struts unfortunately can't be hidden.
Myself I would rather pay the extra dosh to insure a turbo
