A bit of a tricky one, but I think you have to inform them of almost everything you change on the car from its standard form, wheels, spoilers, exhaust, ect.

definately, basically if you are involved in an accident, the third party has the right to have their insurance party send an investigater to check over your car.

presuming it isnt the guys first day on the job he may know what to look for.....its up to you, you pay your money you take your chance.

If you don't declare ALL your mods to the insurance company then you are not driving the car you said you were, and they have the right cancel the policy and refuse to pay out in any claim. And believe me they will refuse if they can.

My brother got stung about 15 years ago because he had a £13000 claim and only got £6500 because his Escort RS turbo was chipped which he hadn't declared. He thought a different chip in the ECU wouldn't be found out (no other mods). Nowadays, he would have probably got nothing.

If you change your car's appearance, etc during your policy you must declare the changes otherwise same thing applies - not the car you said you had. I would advise on telling the insurance company what you want to change before doing it. It could be costly otherwise.

Hope this helps.
