Today I insured my STI wagon (my97) for £710 with no tracker needed just a cat 1 alarm, I did this on the internet with Tescos, i phoned to make sure it was correct as all the other imports had to have a tracker and was told this was correct, a note will be put on my cert so there is no prob if I have to claim. I am well pleased with this. Other good quote was by Churchill £645 but needed a tracker.

Just tried their site & when for a on-line quote.
I had trouble at first continuing with the quote when entering details of my driving offence (SP30), so I tried again without the SP30 and guest what?
My95Wrx 4 door requires a tracker, but most of all they still quoted higher than LV.
Will try them on the phone instead, see if they can beat the quote.

 

When I did my Tescos quote on the net it seemed that only the WRX STI wagon didnt have import specified next to it, I had originally got a quote for a WRX wagon and that did need a tracker that was why I questioned it by phone,I cant understand why a STI doesnt need a tracker but a WRX does. L+V wouldnt insure the STI at all they said they didnt have a listing for it.

 

Thats strange my Sti wagon is insured through Tesco's and they specified a tracker but no alarm!

 

That is strange, is yours a new age uk STI or an older import? Mine is a MY97, I got the quote about a month ago and took out the insurance yesterday.
