I am 42 years old and can insure my 97 classic turbo with Lloyds tsb for £350 fully comp..also try Norwich Union Direct and Nationwide.co.uk although your age is against you...Good Luck...

most companies have upped their minimum age limit for scoobs, generally lowest age is 25 while some companies still will quote, I dont think you will find one much cheaper than your original.

Got an sti4, 21yrs, 2years no claims, tescos insured me for 2400 with a tracker fitted. You will have to swallow a lot costs to own such a performance icon at such a young age. Not exactly a corsa is it!!!

Try HIC, Greenlight, Adrian Flux or First Altenative. Pretty good with young drivers.

26 with 2004 STi Type UK with PPP - Tracker, Blackjack & barrier deadlocking:

Try Egg.com or Tesco; they've quoted me just over £1000

DirectLine: £973.35

L & V & Greenlinght won't even touch me 'cause I'm not over 30
Adrian Flux tried it on for £6000

Doesn't help that most people have the car listed as a GL!

Was with Greenlight for two years 25 full no claims etc for just over £800.00 with my girlfriend as a named driver. (Protected as well)

Got my renewal in Feb and the buggers wanted £1400.00?? When I rang them to discuss they admitted that they wanted to get out of insuring Subarus due to a bad year for claims etc....

Gone with Tescos this year £720.00 with exhaust mods and brake upgrade declared. (27 and full no claims)

Good luck.

im 22 (just turned last week) 2yrs NCD and Elephant quote me £882 TPFT on a MY98 UK Turbo value £7k or £1400 full comp......just need to find a car now before they change there mind.

I am however having serious problems getting quotes for imports which is proving a real pain....hence trying to source a UK car

I'm 23 and Tesco's has quoted me £1200 with 1 claim, 3 years NCB and no convictions. Tracker is a must with Tescos tho.

Hi.. Newbie Here..

I'm currently selling my Seat Cordoba Coupé .. and i'm after a Scooby!

Phoned up tescos and they quoted me £1100 for a Scooby WRX STi .. (R Reg).. I'm 22 with 5yrs NCB and have Pass Plus! Thought that was pretty good! Thats without a tracker as well!

Its actually £50 more than what i'm paying for the Seat.. But the Seat is pratically fully modified with all mods decleared! Considering my Cordy is 150bhp .. and the scooby is nearly twice the power!

Check with tescos mate, im with them and they insist on trackers 99% of the time, double check for your own piece of mind. Also that price is damn cheap for the insurance, make sure you check the excess, being under 25 you will have a hidden young persons excess of £250 plus your vaulentary excess..

I am paying £1000 fully comp on a uk turbo, standard, garaged over night, and fitted with tracker.

I was told that i had to be 23 to be able to get insurance on the scooby! But as i'm a current policy holder with them.. they are letting me insure the scooby now.

Think it was £250 excess.. Oh and they'll protect my NCB as well..! Will have to double check incase the bloke i spoke too was knocking-back the JD during his lunch break!
