just renewed my insurance with these got the cheapest quote

£601 with £220 xs
£630 with £120 xs
£686 with £50 xs

took the £686 quote because the xs is less and that was only a 10er above my next nearest quote!!

oh yeah it on my mrs name shes 34 no points no acceidents
and i'm 26 with the same
the car is a 97 impreza turbo with cat 1 alarm and a tracker

on bad when one quote was £4000

 

they qouted me around £1000 but it was only £550 last year, not impressed with them this time around.

 

with norwich union £1500/year (me 25, brother 24, dad 50) on wrx group 20 - don't ask about the excess!!! cheaper than L&V and tesco!

 

Insured my standard MY00 with them in June last year. Went with them based on assurances that the mods I was planning were acceptable to them. At the time, I was told my premium would receive a 5% loading, should I go ahead and modify. Long and short was, I did my mods, they then tell me they don't insure modified cars! WTF??? This, by the way , was in Feb of this year, so I still had 4 months on the policy to run. Remembering that they are supposed to record all of their calls, I suggested they check back to see what was said at the time the policy was taken out. The response to this being that it didn't matter what was said, as they don't insure modified cars. Eh? I'd had enough and asked for a refund on the remainder of the policy, only to be told that, because I WAS CANCELLING THE POLICY, I WASN'T ENTITLED TO A REFUND. Cue vociferous explosion at my end of the phone, followed by a colourful explaination of why I could no longer consider myself their customer, based on their unreasonable behaviour. Finally managed to track down their complaints department ( not easy ) and resolve things to my satisfaction. Best of luck mate, you'll need it!
