Ok, I'm potentially going to be buying a group 16 v6 worth around £2k and I'll probably start using that in place of the scooby until the scooby sells. I'll need both cars to be insured so how do I go about doing this without paying through the nose of the few weeks or months it takes to shift the Impreza. Could I add the v6 to the scooby policy? Or, could I get the v6 registered in my dads name who then wouldn't bother to get a policy for it and then I'd drive it third party. My policy says that I can drive with the owners permission any other car for third party cover only. If my dad owned the car then I'd be legally covered to drive it under my own policy and surely he isn't obliged to have a policy for it if he doesn't drive it?
Is there any other suggestions/thoughts

Depending on your insurer, they may allow you to use your years of NCB to count on the new car if you explain to them that it's a second car and you can't drive two at once.

Just phoned my insurance company who said they can add the pug to the Subaru's policy as a temporary vehicle for £130 per month!!!!!!!! Thats a lot of money if the scooby takes 2 months to shift There has to be another way. I'm 25 years old with full NCD and its phyiscally impossible to drive both cars at once!!!
