Jeesh, you're 'avin' a larf aren't you?

You might find one or two companies willing to underwrite your first crash, but the trade-off is likely to be a premium that will cost you more than the car.

Look on the Insurance forum for some pointers if you've got more money than sense, but realistically your would be well advised to consider either a normally aspirated Impreza or something slower until you've got some experience and some no-claims discount.

Run a pocket rocket for a year and get 1 years NCB - this may give you a chance of affording the insurance @ 21
Seriously - if i knew back then what i know now, i can only be thankful that my first car was a Nova and not an Impreza
Learn to drive before you get an Impreza!

Id spend the money of life insurance if you only just got your driving licence as you will probably kill yourself within the first few months

dazz d, just as an incentive for you, I'm 29, 6 points, full NCB and I still pay £1200 a year fully comp on my 93 WRX. Just put a £ sign in front of your phone number for your own quote.

Lol, you'll need it too, what with the car's running costs to add into the equation.

I think I smell a bullsh*tter. If you've got so much money to burn, why are you asking us how much it'd cost to insure an eleven year old car?

Any insurance company will cover you!!!!!

its just a question of risk and cost....

most decline because of the above

Adrian flux & co will sort cover out..........but as these guys have already stated

it is going to COST and in all honesty probably more than the cars worth....

if your not worried about the cost.... why buy an old scooby????

Yeah, there are company's out there that will cover u.

U may well be advised to go with a broker rather than direct actually.

However, you'll be paying thru the nose I reckon.

I'll be surprised if you got a quote under £3k.

Good luck.

always been with tesco myself, they are well cheap and will insure imports and modded cars. A friend who is only 19 got a quote for an old WRX import that was £1100 as long as he had a tracker fitted. Not bad really.

will have to disagree with you Mart360 on Adrian flux and co, Im 28, 4yrs no claims, driving for 8years and they could'nt do insurance for me on '96 turbo wagon.
Went through elephant instead

In what way? It probably won't save you much money if that's what you're thinking. In your case the insurer will be less worried about repairing your car and more about the potential for costly third party damage and personal injury claims resulting from the accident that they predict you're likely to have.

the car will only be worth about 3k
Cheapskate. Thought you had money to burn?

I should point out that my cover includes all my declared mods, it's not for a standard WRX

Parent's insurance is a short-term fix Lowery. If you're unlucky you could find yourself un-insured (which is illegal), and in any case, the sooner you start building your own NCD, the sooner you'll be able to get insurance on a quicker car.

Kudos though for being a little more sensible than Dazz (wonder where he went???) in your choice of car.
