Scooby Insurance?
#1
Hiya,
This is a serious post by the way.
I am currently 16 (17 very shortly) and im gonna get a Subaru 2.0 TURBO Impreza WRX 4X4 but I have looked at insurance and=d ive been quoted like 8 grand a year. Is this gonna be the cheapest I am able to get it?
Thanks in advance!
Andrew

are you doing the Pass Plus thing? Some companies give 30% Intro discount (the equiv of 1 year NCB) for doing this, but check BEFORE you fork out for it if the companies that are willing to insure you on a scooby offer the discount.
Alternatively get a really cheap banger for the first year, have a scream driving at the red line for a year, probably end up writing it off anyway and then get your scooby!
It's a funny thing that everything is relative, at one point we had two cars, my 957cc Fiesta (!) and my boyfrinds Golf VR6. Now strangely I quickly got used to the VR6 and it was only when I nipped out in the fiesta then drove the VR6 again that I appreciated it.
So if you evey get bored of your performnce car have a go in a slow banger and you will fall in love all over again....

8 grand for insurance are u mad !Better of putting it towards a diff car for your first few years till you get some NCB.Or even better still keep it for first couple of years then you ll be able to get a better scooby
