Hi guys, just a quick question!
I have had my Sti8 for 5 months now and am ready for the PPP upgrade, so rung up tescos insurance to see how much extra i would have to pay on my policy, and after farting around for 10 minutes trying to explain to them what it was and what it did they asked me for an extra £258!!
How can they not know what it is? I thought most Stis had this anyway?
And does an extra £258 on top of an £1100 policy seem reasonable?
Any experiences please!!!

Had i bit of a fight with tesco, when i first phoned for a quote 03 wrx ppp they told me £78 would be the differance.

So off to subaru, £1600 later, phoned tesco, and hay presto £258 was the reply.
To say i went fecking mental at them is an understatment, after talking to a manager and asking him to get the recording of the origonal quote, did the give me the origonal price £78.

i've just been quoted an extra 400 by them for the PPP. 1300 up to 1700.
How did you manange to get them to quote lower???
Should we maybe share some details and try and get them to quote reasonably.

I had the PPP fitted to my 02 last October. Prior to fitting, Tesco quoted an extra £53, then changed it to £168. I argued and got it for £53...

Gone to LV now and they weren't bothered at all - just over £500 for an 02 WRX PPP with Morettes.

Cheers and good luck

Chris mate, not suprised you've been quoted higher, the dozy ******* don' even know what it is!! I think I am going to try again and rather than speak to some dizzy bird who could be typing god knows what into the computer, ask to speak to someone who knows! For god sake, 90% of the stis they will be insuring will have it on and they don't have a clue!
I'll let you know how it goes.....

when I rang Tesco, the girl asked if it was a chip/exhaust change or what. Pretty close - just no cigar when they "lost" the original quote...
