Question

Hi,

Just got my renewal from Wren Motor and frankly it's reasonable - only gone up £50 from last year.

Given the grief of explaining all the mods to new insurers I can't really be bothered shopping around this time, unless there's decent savings to be made...

So who's "hot" at the moment, or shall I just stick with Wren??

Cheers,
Gareth

Having now tried Greenlight and A-Plan, Liverpool Victoria seem to be way the cheapest around.

I've paid the penalty in the past for going with the cheapest quote and then being poorly represented over a claim. Anyone want to comment on whether LV have the customer service to back up their pricing?

LV is £300 more for me

Cheapest so far has been Direct Line, still £700 though was being quoted from £550 last year, only a few minor mods as well!

Adrian Flux said in excess of £1K, Tesco £800, Schofield £1142

Any other recomendations, 34 yrs young, full protected NCD, no accidents/points etc, living in a low risk area

I recommended LV to a mate at work for his BMW 328 Ci. He saved over £250. Unfortunately he skidded on ice a few weeks ago and ended up clipping a tree. He says the claim went through glitch free, (he received claim form in post next day) and had the privilage of choosing where to take it for repair.
All in all he's very satisfied. I know who will be insuring me next
