blimey, at least they are entertaining covering you.

I asked them about PPP and my STI 7 and they said they do not cover these mods.

Cool

Its interesting to see the inconsitency - I'm with Elephant for my 02 WRX with PPP - said it was PPP and they said what does it include. I ran through it all and they said an extra £200 quid or so but didn't ask for a percentage increase in power.

Red face

David, has the dealer told you this? When I spoke to mine they seemed unclear and originally quoted me £1999 for a standard MY02 WRX! They even suggested that it came with a new fuel pump until I pointed out that maybe that was for the STI. They disappeared behind the scenes and came back apologising saying I was right and the price IS £1600. Are you sure what they quoted you isn't for the MY03 which may include further mods?
I would be interested to know as I am getting it fitted in the next few weeks.

I am with Direct Line and when I added the ppp to my STi7 they needed to know the % increase as they have stepped charges ie 0-10%, 10-20% etc

Well, elephant haven't bothered to come back to me, so I called Liverpool Victoria and spoke to Paula (0800 514 514) and considering I only have 2 yrs ncb, 2 crashes in last 5 yrs, they quoted me £1213.23 for my STi 7 with PPP (even though I haven't got PPP yet).

As I'm paying near on a grand already I don't think thats a bad price.

So I'm going to ask elephant what refund I'll get on my current policy and will seriously look at cancelling with them.

RESULT !

I emailed elephant AGAIN, and said I wanted PPP fitted. Told them that if they won't cover me I'd switch to Liverpool Victoria.

Got an email back saying they would cover me for another £300ish quid. At least I can stay with them and clock up another 1 yr ncb. I'll shop about once the renewal comes. So it did pay to badger them.....
