Amp wiring/Extra Switch
Hi All,
I am due to wire my new amp into my WRX hopefully when the weather changes and i wanted some advice. Is it easier to wire the power etc cables through the centre console and into the boot, or is it easier to go around the sides.
Also, on my centre console i have two heated seat buttons, a wing mirror button and i have a spare switch plate. My plan is to put a new switch into there which i can wire the amp up to so i can turn it off if i need too. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions which switch to get.
I hope that all makes sense.
Thanks very much
Matt

Down the side is easiest all you need to do is remove the rear lower seat. If you stick it down the middle it'll be front seats and carpet out.
Don't understand why you'd want an 'off' switch for the amp. Just turn the volume down...... If you switch it off unless it then bypassed the amp surely you'd have no sound. Just seems like adding a switch for the sake of it when you have a volume control.

Run a proper remote cable from the blue wire on the headunit loom. Then the amp will behave as it should.
Generally I put power down one side, RCA's and remote down the middle, and speaker cable back up the relevant sides of the car.
