I Have a JVC double din headunit in my STi, now i know that there was a cable for the unit that you sould connect up to your handbrake so a video isnt display whilst driving......i dont wire this cable up to my handbrake! Now i have a warning message come up when ive tried to watch a video on the headunit for the first time, can i just connect this handbrake cable to any earth point (side of the headunit itself?) to get this message to not appear??

 

I had an AVX1 JVC and that wire needed to be connected to a positive AND negative! I used the stereo live and the cig lighter earth with those blue snap connecter things HTH lee

 

Just connect it to an earth wire and job done mate.
