Just bought my first scoob and managed to knock the price down a fair bit due to the Sony xplod HU not powering up, figured it shouldn't be too hard to fix.

Checked the radio fuse as a first option and it looked fine, switched it with another 15a fuse and still no power, so I guess its not that. Any ideas on the next best thing to check? Are there any other fuses that could have caused it?

Car also has a pioneer underseat amp, wiring is a bit messy so will probably get that sorted out so its a bit neater at some point.

 

take the external cover off of the stereo and look inside some times another glass fuse inside !!!!

 

Thanks, managed to find and test another 2 fuses behind the HU, but as it turns out the HU is fubared, swapping it out with my old one and it works perfectly!
