Hi there, I'm trying to use a KCA-RC700 remote (which looks like this):

With a KDC-MP6090R (which looks like this):

I have read that it is compatable with a remote control but it's just not happening, although I'm sure it worked for a second when I first fitted it. I've tried holding it right in front of the unit but nothing. Do I need to reset it (I'd rather not ) - has anyone else got this headunit?
Cheers, Jamie
PS It worked fine with my old MASK.

Maybe the remote is sulking because I got rid of my old head unit
Might try a new battery but it should be compatable , shouldn't it?

suprised if it isnt the batteries - ive got the md 970 with remote and it works a treat. The sensor works at an angle don't forget, this shouldn't make a difference but worth bearing in mind when testing

Well done guys, you were both right - it was the battery!
How bizarre that it went flat the day I replaced my head unit

Dunk - it works a treat, definitely worth getting - there is the perfect spot to mount it near the ignition switch on the scoob:

Cheers, J
PS Does that big blue button on the MP6090 annoy you at night? Is there a way to turn it off, short of removing the bulb from the faceplate

Cool

The blue button is the best bit

Thinking of changing my dash bulbs to match it
