Question

I had exactly the same problem!

I took the car back to the dealership who supposedly looked in to and claimed that there was nothing wrong with it!

The did however put some extra rubber seal around the doors to try and prevent this happening again.

I never did get to the bottom of it, so does anybody else know why it happened?

i didnt realise it until last week when i was soundproofing my front doors, but i have the same problem, it started raining and blow me, if it was`nt dripping on my new speakers!!

Looking closer the water is getting between where the rubber window seal finishes and the wing mirror, from there it runs down, and flows along the bottom of the window, which is`nt flat but which is infact shaped with two bulges(where it fastens onto the window winder mechanism) for want of a better word,One of these bulges is directly above the speaker, hence the water goes to the bottom of it, and drips down

Luckily i`ve been able to use the standard spacers with the plastic shroud to the rear only slightly trimmed down, so my new speakers are protected, not too sure what i`m going to do though when i upgrade next time and use MDF spacers

Cheers guys
I'm gonna take the car to the dealer and get it checked out.

Seems like a common fault though.
