MY03 Upgrade
So to start, I currently have a HIDEOUS and confusing Tape/CD and cd changer Double-Din Pioneer headunit (found here). The sound options are more confusing than mulletboy's spherical sub enclosure in his Volvo (I wonder if he ever finished that).
I want to upgrade but I've read about the Forester pocket with the flap doesnt fit with a single din headunit without modification blah blah blah.
I own an Apine CDA-9851R headunit that's getting on a bit. It doesnt have direct ipod connectivity which is what I'm looking for. I've narrowed my choice down to 2 headunits and wondered if anyone had any experience or opinions on them
Alpine: CDE-W203Ri - CD/MP3/USB/iPod Ready Tuner
or
Alpine: iDA-X303 - iPod Ready Digital Media Receiver
Obviously the first is a simpler choice at the moment but I like the control and colour screen of the second one.
I'm on a tight budget so I cant get the Double-din version of the second one (unfortunate as I'd be happier than a pig in mud).
Anyone got any thoughts?

If I remeber coerrect I fitted the Forester pocket with the flap no problem with a single Din , some good FAQ's at the top if you haven't seen them already

Hmm. I might have to look into that then. Anyone know an easy source of the pocket with the flap without a dealer?
