DIN pocket troubles - HELP
Chaps
I have just got back into a scoob after 4 years away and am looking to get the stereo and spkrs upgraded ASAP.
I asked the dealer to provide me with a lidded tray (as per Forester) to fit to my 2007 Hawkeye WRX. I was hoping to get an ipod lead to come through into the pocket, but be behind the flap!
However, the dealer has told me that the lidded flap wont fit, so they have just provided the open one. I phoned a second dealer who also conformed that it wouldn't fit without serious modifying. I struggle to fully understand this, as its the same fittings behind the dash panel as far as I can see and the stereo is the same unit that Noah fitted in the Ark
The open pocket part number I have is 66128AE000.
I have seen a thread or two on here showing the following part nos for lidded trays, but I need some advice on whether they will fit unmodified into my Hawkeye with an Alpine HU:
66128SA00
66128SA040 - don't know what each looks like though
Many thx
Nige
ps where have all the guides gone that I used to refer to, such as Chiarks? (I have been away too long......)
