nice sub boxes for scoobs.
#1
Went to see a chap called Paul Godden at auto accoustics on Saturday with three other scoob owners.
Paul's company, make various items for ICE, but in particular we were interested in subtle sub boxes for the scoob, in my case i need to get a pram in the boot etc.
Paul's solution was to use the space between suspension tower and tail light and to square it off, and I have to say im pretty pleased with the results.
Will obviously look better with a sub in it lol
Paul can do the boxes for 8/10 or 12 inch subs.
I have no association with this company other than being a satisfied customer and would recommend anyone needing similar should drop Paul a line, nice chap and good coffee.
(My pictures are also on Pauls site as he asked for some as he had no installed pictures for the scoob).

The on above is for 93-00, i don't think hes had an 01 in yet to be able to take a mould from etc, might be worth a call to call Paul and see if you can work something out for 01.

That does look good, and auto acoustics have a good name, too.
I'd be tempted to make the box larger by removing the trim before fitting, but that's a good stock option. I'm trying to fit a 15" in the side of my boot - it'll have to go on the other side as there's more space because the tank is on the driver's side.

Moulds are being made for the other side, and the box can be made larger to cover a customers needs, tho obviously they would be priced more than the standard off the shelf product.
I looked at a mk2 golf box whilst there and it was about twice the size of the scoob box! Apparently its been widened three times to cover customers requests.

I gotta say I was well impressed with the guy, I went with Pete on Saturday, and guess what..... I bought one lol, sounds really nice considering I have only one of my 10" subs in, the fit is really nice and really tidies the boot up as you can see from Pete's piccies, just waiting for Paul to create the other side now
