Question

Can't persuade my old man to buy new headunit and new speakers, but if he were to just get a new headunit, would we be able to tell the diff. in sound quality? Or do we have to replace the standard speakers as well??

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Tom

I've just swapped the headunit and changer in my MY99 UK from the std. Philips stuff. I put my Alpine 7562 head and S614 changer in.

To me, seems to be a massive improvement in the quality of the sound. Sounds a lot more balanced between the front & rear now. Alpine has some nice features as well. Mind you, when I brought the head & changer, it cost me over £500 so should it be good!

I will be doing the front speakers next as the standard ones can't hack that much volume. I'll be going for the Infinity components which drop in.
