Got this in our 08STI, didn't fit th head unit, would have thought not a bad job, but I did fit the bluetooth, removed the lower dash panel under steering wheel, pretty sure it's only 3 or 4 screws on your car, ran the mic lead to the top of the O/S door pilar easy job & works very well

its a piece of cake. gps can go at the rear of the clock in the top of the dash. the panel just lifts out.. with a bit of force
The mike can go at the mirror or at the top of the a pillar. The whole job should take about 1 hour. The best way to run the cables is to remove the instrument assembly. its only about 3 screws and it comes out really easily.

Thanks for replies
Just had a look, trim for removing stereo comes out really easy, but could not get clock panel out (lots of force), I also have my tracker GPS located in that area. Would they interfere with each other ?. I was looking at positioning the GPS at the left hand side of the dash between the pillar and vent, would this be o.k?
Cheers

it does take a stupidly large amount of force to get some of them to move...
the gps systems won't interfere if they are located close to each other. They only receive signals they dont send anything out.
mounting it beside the a pillar will work fine.

Just ordered stereo + bluetooth adapter + ipod lead
Should be here next week
I have couple more questions, On the STI is the aerial an amplified if so do I have do use a 12V source for this?, I hav ordered an ISO adapter but looking through these forums it suggests that the aerial amp needs a seperate source, This then started me thinking should I disconnect the battery to fit the radio
Again any help much appreaciated
Cheers
