Hi I am no expert but had my amp pro. fitted.
I have just had a look at mine. there is a large rubber gromit between the inter cooler and suspension in the bulk head near the top, passenger side of the engine bay.
From inside the car, cable is above the heater fan, then it has been dressed around and gone under the door seals. Hope this has helped!

What car have you got?

In my Bugeye, there is a rubber grommet in front of the passengers feet, it's easy to put a new hole in it and pass your cable through from the engine side, possibly with a coathanger. It comes out behind the glovebox, it's pretty simple really.

I'm sure I remember lots of pics of the grommet in question, I'll post again if I can find them.

I used the same place as greatgonzo said. Just cut a little slit in it and feed it through.
