hi i have always had a sound system in m car and it i pretty loud, i have always hated it wen crs drive past and the bumpers etc are rattling. and i have now got 1996 scooby and the bloody spoiler rattles more than exhaust dus and sounds so tacky. if i press down on the spoiler it stop. i dont want rid of the spoiler but what can i do to stop it?

 

Hi try removing the top of the spoiler and put some sort of bonding/ silicon sealent between the two mating surfaces to try and give it a little flex befor it rattles.

 

As well as the above, sound deadening in the boot - cuts out resonance, look for Dynamat Xtreme or Damplifier Pro, although there are other options.

 

Most of the spoiler rattles will be down to the bootlid rattling/flexing. You can tell the quality of the assembly when you slam the boot. Does it sound like Bentley or a Mercedes door shutting with a solid "whump" or does it sound like an accident with the cutlery draw?
