John, a most useful resource! You could convert it to HTML, but your approach is the easiest way for you.

I would ask about copyright implications, but that isn't helping so I'll not mention it

Yeah, did think about that, but there are many Subaru sites with scanned/OCR'd magazine content, so I'll go down with hundreds of others when Adam has me for breakfast And Scoobynet itself is not carrying the info. Were there not some similar things in the IWOC shared files area?

Hopefully people will see the quality of the content and buy the magazine - if they can get hold of it.

Has anyone done anything info wise for the new Scooby yet.

I notice that the rears are now in the doors etc. Would be nice to have all this info for new model owners

Hi Jonathan, bring your car along and we'll dismantle it for you to tell you what fits.

I believe that it's the same up front, being 6 inch speakers, and I have no reason to suspect that the rears will have changed other than in location. Anyone know for sure???

I believe that the rear doors are indead 6. Also I think the rear shelf still has mounting points for speakers underneath the shelf so a collegue informs me. You could use this location and re-carpet your back shelf after cutting a suitable pattern for the sound to come through!!

Greetings from accross the pond!

Whilst I'm over here working (for a year or so) I've got a new shape WRX to blat around in. I too was wondering what size the rear door mounted speakers were so I had a look.
Standard size are 4" but have spoken to caouple of other guys out here who have 5.25" in there with no problems.
If you're really enthusiastic you can get a pair of 6x9's in the rear shelf, but thats a decent ammount of work.
As chiark says, up fornt are 6" but mounting depth is an issue with the window down. With a 3/4" mdf spacer you're speaker choice increases greatly and should still mount behind the standard door panel.

Cheers

Mark

rockin'RU,
This is actually my third time working here in PA (FYI I'm an engineer) so i've probably already been changed.
Last car I owned whilst over here went home with a nice system in it, but I think for the time being most of my money is going on go faster bits.
Then i'll start on a decent system.
Well thats the plan for the moment anyway....
