Its only a problem fitting them in a MY01, mask units are slightly larger than a normal single DIN, not in the main chassis of the unit just the head and this is what causes the fittng problem due to the way the fascia is shaped around the stereo on the MY01.

Just file the back corners off of the removeable fascia and they fit nice and snug

Back to the original question.

Any unit will fit in a P1, including kenwood mask units.

Paul,

Called Belmont and spoke to Ian. They say there isn't a unit as such that fits in the Double Din but that they can tidy the vacant hole up with a pocket and make it look tidy - which I have so far failed to do

Will go see him next week! Cheers

You won't get a double din unit, they do exist but only in jap imports, you can tho get a single din (aka normal head unit) and a blanking plate, or put something else in there, I have an Alpine Head unit and a Alpine Equaliser face in the double din slots in my STi

Both Clarion and pioneer do Double Din for the Uk market. Expensive though, looking at £350+

There are plenty of double din units in the market. HAve a look at Kenwood UKs website. They've got a few.

You may have misunderstood me I don't want a Double Din unit - I'd rather suck an egg through a straw

I have a Mask which is great - I just think the blanking plate looks a little tack (well, it does it mine at the mo.) I was trying to see if there was a double din cage which I could slot my Mask into and tidy up the metal which I can currently see around the edges.

A trip to Belmont should help tidy it all up

I bought the Kenwood MP6090r and the faceplate is ****e to say the least. I finally got the pins to click in place (after bending them with pliers) but the plate still bows around the centre top and bottom due to the clips only being on the side.
