how do you sound proo/deadening?

do you cover the whole door?
or just around the speaker?
and what about tweeters?

its up to you, soom say the hole door others do around 12" around the speakers, thats what i will be doing as the guy fitting mine said that would do, others will say different thou...

try doing around the speaker no need to do whole door if its done tight use a heat gun to strech the deadening

just around the speaker mate use a heat gun makes light work of it

I used Dynamat extreme on the inside of the door (behind where the speaker goes and the whole of the door





very easy to do and much better than just doing behind the speaker

Thats how to do it properly and the door card fits back on perfectly and the doors now shut with a satisfying clunk and the sound is awesome

£50 for the dynamat and about 3 hours to do both doors and make MDF spacers for the components

So how much did you actually put behind the door frame? I can see you've covered the whole frame, but what about behind it, or did you literally do just behind the speaker, and then what we can see?

dynamat is good but if u want a cheap a yet just as effective method take door cards off and fill the door with fibreglass sound stupid but it works just as well
